Driving Directions:
From the Greater Los Angeles and coastal San Diego areas (including Lindberg Field, the Beach View Inn, and the entire I-5 corridor):
From I-5, go east on Highway 78. Exit on College Blvd., and then continue north on College Blvd. to the first traffic light after the Highway 78/Vista Way intersection. Turn left on Barnard Drive. At the first left, after entering the campus, continue to circle campus, and follow the signs to parking lot 3B or C. Walk up towards the Student Center, building 3400 (note there is an elevator that will take you up to the Cafeteria).
From East San Diego County (I-15 corridors)
From I-15, go west on Highway 78. Exit at College Blvd. (which will include a left turn onto Vista Way, and then right on College Blvd). Go north on College Blvd. to the first traffic light after the Highway 78/Vista Way intersection, and turn left on Barnard Drive. At the first left, after entering the campus, continue to circle campus, and follow the signs to parking lot 3B or C. From the Holiday Inn Express (Vista Way):
Turn east onto Vista Way, and go approximately 2 miles to the intersection of College Blvd. Turn left (north) on College Blvd., and then proceed to the first traffic light after the Highway 78/Vista Way intersection, and turn left on Barnard Drive. At the first left, after entering the campus, continue to circle campus, and follow the signs to parking lot 3B or C. Walk up towards the Student Center, building 3400 (note there is an elevator that will take you up to the Cafeteria).
Parking
Participants may park in any student or staff space. Lots 3B & 3C are closest to registration on the first day. A detailed map of the campus will be mailed to all participants.
Public Transit
North County Transit Route 302
Participants can get to MiraCosta college by North County Transit route 302, which connects the Oceanside Transit Center (including the Amtrak station, see below) to Palomar College and downtown Escondido. Buses run every 15 minutes, and the trip from the Oceanside train station takes about 30 minutes.
For those traveling from Los Angeles, Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner heads down the coast to Oceanside, where you can transfer to bus route 302 to get to MiraCosta College. For more information on this route, visit:
